One of the first things we did after moving into our new house was swap out our front door. We were ready to do this right away so we ordered the new door before closing.
It was scheduled to arrive on our closing date. Then our closing was delayed for over a month 😬 So we had to make special arrangements to have the door delivered to the new house earlier than we were technically allowed to. But it all worked out and the new door is installed!
There wasn’t anything wrong with our door before, but I LOVE what we have now. It catches your eye and has an inviting feel.

Door Details
We ordered our door from Lowe’s and have only great things to say about it. While you can buy the basic slab door, it was worth it for us to go with the pre-hung, double-bored door that included the frame.
-Door: Beveled glass, Solid core, wood-slab exterior door (here)
-Wood: Mahogany (unfinished)
-Size: 36-in x 80-in

Stain Details
Stain alone does not fully protect exterior wood from weather conditions.
However, the all-in-one stain and sealer that we used offers all-weather defense in just one coat. This made the process so much easier! This transparent stain combination enriches color and wood grain while also strengthening the surface.

-Stain: Pre-tinted Transparent Exterior Wood Stain and Sealer
-Color: Canyon Brown (here).
