A Classic Boy Nursery for Baby #3

Hi love,

Isn’t there just something about preparing a space for a new baby that just feels extra special? —especially this time around with it being our third baby.

Even with Eleanor and Holden, I remember pouring so much love into their nurseries too. In big brother Holden’s nursery, I was drawn to a classic, equestrian-inspired feel—something timeless and boyish in the sweetest way. It ended up being a design that I loved so much (and practically speaking) I just wasn’t ready to totally change it when I found out we were having another boy.

So when it came time to design this nursery, I found myself coming back to that same heart with similar decor… but I wanted to refresh the space with a few new pieces that would make it feel special and uniquely his.

One of the first things we chose was the crib. I went with the Abigail 3-in-1 Convertible Crib from Namesake, and it really set the tone for the room. It has that timeless, heirloom feel I’m always drawn to, but what I love most is knowing it will grow with him. There’s something meaningful about choosing pieces that aren’t just for right now, but for the years ahead.

And then there’s the chair… the spot I already know will hold so many quiet moments. We chose the Crewe Recliner and Swivel Glider in the sweetest gingham, and it’s every bit as cozy as it looks. It swivels and reclines so smoothly, and I can already picture the late nights, the early mornings, and all the in-between moments that will happen right there.

But what makes this room feel the most special isn’t just what’s new—I found the dresser on Facebook Marketplace for $80, and it might be one of my favorite pieces. It has that worn, vintage character that you just can’t recreate, and it grounds the room in such a beautiful, collected way.

And then there are the pieces that hold even deeper meaning. In the corner sits a rocking horse that Zach’s late grandaddy made. Having that here feels incredibly special—a little reminder connecting multiple generations. We also added a few classic wooden toys from Zach’s childhood, which makes the room feel even more meaningful.

I love that this space holds both past and present… and now, a new beginning. Because as much as I love design, what matters most to me is what this room will hold. The rocking and the praying. The long nights and slow mornings. The moments that feel small now, but won’t always be. This space already feels full of meaning—and he’s not even here yet.

I’m so glad you’re here- here’s a little tour of what I’ve been working on-

All the links for this space can be found on my LTK!

And as we prepare to welcome him home, I keep coming back to this simple truth: “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.” — Psalm 127:3 Such a gentle reminder that this season, this work, and these little lives are a gift.

Until the next letter xx
