Top 5 Bathroom Storage Hacks That Are Pretty and Functional

Looking for simple bathroom storage hacks that will help you declutter in a way that is functional and also pretty?

Same! We have two bathrooms in our home, but both on the smaller side. I wanted to make the most of the storage space we have with bathroom storage hacks to maximize practicality, tidiness, and style.

Here are 5 bathroom storage hacks that will help.

1. Create Added Storage With Shelving

My favorite bathroom storage hack is to add open shelving and stock it with the bathroom essentials that typically clutter a bathroom vanity. Use cute containers for storage to add visual appeal. Before you go shopping, check around the house for unique containers that you may already have to fit your needs. This makes those useful little items more organized and easily accessible for you and guests.

2. Utilize Oversized Baskets

If your bathroom lacks a linen closet or your vanity is small, this bathroom storage hack may be ideal for you! Create additional storage space for bulky items like towels or toilet paper with large baskets. Giving yourself that additional designated space for those bigger items will free up space elsewhere to hide the smaller odds and ends.

3. Matching Organization Bins

Grouping similar items in your vanity will help you prioritize what you regularly use and should have available at the forefront. Maybe it’s just me, but I truly believe that you are more likely to stay organized and keep a system going when it is easy and aesthetically pleasing. Everything I need is together in the front where I can just grab it and toss back in the bin when I’m done.

4. Drawer Dividers

No matter how many times I try to declutter or attempt to organize my bathroom vanity drawers in the past, they always turn back into chaos. And why do I have a million and one hair ties and bobby pins, but can never find a single one when I am searching for it?! Tell me I’m not the only one. Well, these drawer dividers have been a total life saver! These are a must-have bathroom storage item!

5. DECLUTTER

If nothing else, let this be motivation to go declutter your own bathroom. I completely emptied my vanity and vacuumed the drawers before doing an organization overhaul. And I said goodbye to an embarrassing amount of expired beauty products. The absolute best way to create more storage space and be happy with your bathroom aesthetic is to get rid of the junk you haven’t used since 2013. It’s totally free and will feel sooo good when you are done.
