Popular Finishes & Styles for Bathroom Mirrors

Brass and chrome remain timeless, popular finishes. Mirrors with a sleek black trim offer a beautiful contrast in lighter spaces. Other prominent finishes include rattan or light-grain wood, giving the space a warm organic feel.
We are seeing that trending vanity mirrors consistently have thinner framing in common, which is great for maximizing your mirror space while getting ready. While there are a variety of popular shapes, almost all of them also have soft lines with curved-edging in common.

Selecting the Right Mirror for Your Vanity

Tip 1- Allow the vanity to guide the mirror size, shape, and finish. Start with a shape and size that will make the scale of the room feel balanced.
As a general rule, a vanity mirror should measure a few inches less than your vanity width. A happy medium would be as wide or wider than the sink area, but slightly smaller than the countertop width.
Tip 2- The finishes of the vanity’s hardware may be a good place to start when settling on the finish for your mirror.
While it is a safe choice to match the mirror and hardware, it doesn’t necessarily have to be exact. It’s okay to mix metals when there is some sort of established design style to keep things cohesive.
